Three weeks until MacBook Day!

February 7th, 2010

About three or four weeks ago I decided that on the 26th I would leave the Windows Family and move into Mac’s Welcoming arms, I set a day for it and I’m leaving you Windows.  I will still need Windows, there a load of lighting tools that I cannot use on my Mac so I’ll be running both VitualBox and Bootcamped Windows Vista on it, I’m staying away from Windows 7, and sticking with Vista.

MacBook day is the 26th February 2010, I have a feeling that this date will go down in history as the day I turned my back on Windows, I’ll still need it, just not as much!

I’m getting a White unibody MacBook.

Happy New Year

January 1st, 2010

Happy new year to you all!

I must admit I really don’t see the point of celebrating the new year, it seems a bit pointless, it’s only another day in my opinion.  Anyway we’ll see what 2010 brings to the table.

Merry Christmas…

December 25th, 2009

Hello all,

I’d just like to wish you a merry chrismtas and a happy new year!

Windows 7…

December 13th, 2009

Morning/Evening/Afternoon (Delete as appropriate), I have Windows 7, I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I love it, it’s so much better than Vista and XP, although I still use XP for certain things, that’s the advantage of VB-ing your system.  I have a problem though. It’s slow, sometimes annoyingly slow, only when starting programs though, using the system itself is rather spritely.

I like it though and it’s well worth the money if you want to upgrade from Vista or even XP.

More on Windows 7 soon, once I’ve written my review.

On a side note I managed to continue a tradition, each year I buy a wrist band from The German Market in Birmingham – Evidence is below.

A tribute…

November 21st, 2009

As a tribute to a friend of mine who died five years ago, I’ve put a website which him and I worked on for several years here. Not all the pages are up yet, but I’m working on it now.

You can see it here: http://kingsnortonboys.russoakes.com/

Winter is comin’ and so is Christmas…

November 18th, 2009

Evening, it’s that time again for me to write a new article for this website, alas I tend not to update it that often at the moment, but maybe I’ll make it a new years resolution to try and keep it as up to date as possible.  It’s getting towards the end of November now and we’re  definitely entering the home straight towards Christmas – the busiest time of year for me.

I haven’t thought about any shopping yet for presents, mainly because I have the insane hope that if I ignore it long enough it will go away! This will not happen I fear.  Don’t get me wrong I adore Christmas it’s my most favouritist time of the year – it’s the shopping and mayhem I hate.  I promise myself almost every year that I’ll get it done ahead of time but it never happens, ever.

Birmingham’s Frankfurt Market opened last week, and I’ve been to it three times, mainly I must add for the Gluwein and Bratwurst (hic).  Okay, I’ll admit I’ve had three bratwursts already (here comes the fatness).  ]

That’s about it for now -  Next post in a few days!

Bloody Hell! We have…

October 26th, 2009

POST!!! A rarity evidently considering the postal strikes in the UK at the moment we have finally got some post – well one letter (and it’s not even for me!).

Finally it looks like our post is getting through!

Post!!!

Post!!!

On a side note, I’m really getting into Paramore at the moment!

SoI haven’t posted in a long time…

October 25th, 2009

I’ve been going through a lot of work stuff recently, what with my wrists being really bad and having this almost constant pain.  It actually hurts to type at the moment so as you can imagine this will be pretty short, I’m actually reaching the point now where even this little bit of text is hurting!

I shall endeavour to bring you a longer post in the near future.

Touting for business…

August 11th, 2009

Well things are hotting up a bit this week, touting for business in the most unlikely places.
